Our team encountered a technical issue blocking us from proceeding the competition today. Two of our team members can’t access certain files with Notebook, there were errors like “FileNotFoundError” when executing some cells in the notebooks under “Machine Learning for Complex Pricing Models (First Round)”. It can be verified from the system that all of our members are registered using valid university email, and are eligible for the competition.
There was another technical issue/bug we should mention here that we think was the direct cause of this situation: After all the group members were added to the team, we successfully registered for the first competition, “Outperform the S&P 500 Index”. But as when we went to register for the second competition, “Machine Learning for Complex Pricing Models (First Round)”, it showed two of our team members are not students. We believe this was a technical issue or bug, as we were all legitimate students, all of us registered using email with “.edu.cn” suffix and had succeeded in registering for the first competition, which required exactly the same qualifications. So to proceed, we let the two members exit the team, and registered for the second competition, then let them in again. This might cause the problem mentioned in the beginning.
Thus, we believe it was originally a technical issue/bug that caused the problem. May we request to reconfigure the permissions to proceed with the competition to fix the consequence of the original technical issue?
