Public vs Private leaderboard

Hi,

I haven’t found a description of what is the difference between the Public vs Private leaderboard.
We need to have entered the competition to be able to look at the Private one, sure, but how does it differ from the Public leaderboard ?
Is it only a question of backtesting period ?

Hello - The main difference between the public vs the private leaderboard is the data being used. The Private leaderboard uses data ‘out of sample’, you can check on the Alphien Dashboard details the backtesting period. The private leaderboard uses more data to calculate the metrics used for ranking.

The same applies to the robustness scoring.
